Public Input Meeting: March 18 at 7:00 PM

Thanks to all of you that have already been a part of the park master planning process.  We have received a lot of great input which we want to categorize and share with you. 

To accomplish this next step we have scheduled a public master plan meeting on Thursday, March 18 at 7:00 pm.  The meeting will take place in the Heritage Ballroom of the Centre of Elgin.  Our consultants, JJR LLC, and their partner PROS Consulting will share their findings from the previous input meetings, along with an associated needs and gap analysis.  Following this presentation we will discuss where future efforts should be focused to address the issues that have been identified.

Public Input Meetings - Discovery: Feb 17-25th

Dear Elgin Resident:

I am excited to tell you that we are in the process of updating the Master Plan for the Elgin Parks and Recreation Department.  This master plan is a very important document as it will be used to direct the future development of our community’s parks, recreation facilities and recreation programs over the next 10 years.  The foundation for this master plan update will be the public input received from residents and community stakeholders like you.The City will be conducting a series of public input meetings during the month of February.  All of the meetings will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will take place in various locations throughout the City.
